CO-FOUNDER of AACE Foods, Ndidi Nwuneli said that Nigeria
and other countries in Africa cannot simply rely on Asia and Europe for food
since 60% of Africa’s populace is in agriculture. Speaking
recently to CNBC Africa, Ms Nwuneli said the continent’s agriculture value
chain, from production to logistics, offer many opportunities, although there
remain challenges. From 2009 to the present, Nigeria in particular has cut its
food imports significantly. She hopes that the trend will be continued by the
new administration.
