Shandong Bihai Packaging Materials Co. Ltd: Aseptic packaging need not be costly

Many manufacturers of liquid products are turning to aseptic packaging for the advantages that it provides. Also referred to as aseptic filling, the technique ensures that products and containers are first and foremost sterile, and the environment in which the filling and sealing are carried out is also sterile. Product safety and quality are guaranteed, hence the process has become the choice for  producers of dairy, juices, semi-liquids, and pharmaceuticals.

Recently FoodPacific Manufacturing Journal interviewed Shandong Bihai Packaging Materials Co., Ltd for a feature on aseptic technology. When asked about its strengths, the company well dominates in this field in China -- it has worked itself up to become a specialist in the area of aseptic carton filling machines and auxiliary equipment, as well as manufacturer of a unique paper-aluminum-PE liquid food aseptic laminated packaging paper.

The company reasons that while its aseptic packaging is competitive in quality, it need not be as costly as other brands. As a result, Bihai’s own brand, the GsPak helped break the monopoly of overseas brands in the home market.  It does walk the talk – heavy investments in R&D have yielded conventional products with 34 specifications – brick, pillow, diamond, IPI, Shikoku and triangle packages – and 13 capacities from 80mL to 1,500mL.  So far it is the only China-based company with the most product specifications for aseptic packaging. It also works with customers who seek turnkey projects.
